DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN TVET: LEVERAGING TECHNOLOGY FOR TEACHING SUPPLY CHAIN AND LOGISTICS

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed supply chain and logistics management, requiring Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions to redesign teaching and learning approaches to align with Industry 4.0 demands. This conceptual paper explores the integration of digital transformation technologies into the teaching of supply chain and logistics courses in TVET institutions. Specifically, the paper discusses the application of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Supply Chain Management (SCM) software, digital twins, artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted learning tools, metaverse learning environments, and smart laboratories in enhancing teaching effectiveness and students' employability. Guided by the Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) framework and Constructivist Learning Theory, the study adopts an exploratory conceptual research approach through a comprehensive review of recent literature and the development of a proposed conceptual framework. Rather than reporting empirical findings, the paper synthesizes existing knowledge to identify critical factors influencing digital transformation in TVET supply chain education and proposes research propositions for future empirical validation. The study contributes theoretically by extending digital transformation discourse into TVET-based supply chain education and practically by providing strategic insights for educators, institutional leaders, and policymakers in developing future-ready logistics education ecosystems
