To date, there is a dearth of research on online collaborative team teaching linked to student achievement motivation in Malaysian higher education institutions. This paper explores students’ perceptions of online collaborative team teaching conducted by two universities in Malaysia and the impact of its implementation on student achievement motivation. Data for this study were gathered through an online questionnaire survey. Using descriptive analysis, findings reveal that the majority of the students regarded online collaborative teaching as a positive experience and had strong motivation in achieving their learning goals. Implications for online collaborative team teaching are suggested to popularise the approach for better achievement motivation and learning outcomes in Malaysia.
2024-06-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Technology Management and Technopreneurship (JTMT) https://jtmt.utem.edu.my/jtmt/article/view/6083 Exploring the Challenges of Industry 4.0 Entrepreneurs: A Grounded Theory Approach 2024-04-15T04:10:32+00:00 Muhammad Ridzuan Noorzelan m062220001@student.utem.edu.my Mohd Fauzi Kamarudin mohdfauzi@utem.edu.my Nor Ratna Masrom norratna@utem.edu.my
This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the entrepreneurial challenges within the context of Industry 4.0, focusing on the seamless integration of transformative automation technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and the Internet of Things. Utilizing Constructivist Grounded Theory, the study engaged in-depth interviews and conducted Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) involving various stakeholders, including government agencies, entrepreneurs, senior executives, industry leaders, and auditors. These stakeholders were sourced through the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), operating under the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI), which plays a pivotal role in Malaysia's economic and technological progression by fostering collaboration across different industry sectors and stakeholders. The research revealed several significant challenges faced by entrepreneurs operating within Industry 4.0, including constraints related to funding, complexities in leadership, political influences, gaps in awareness, the imperative need for change agents, and disconnections within networks. Through the meticulous transcription of interviews and subsequent coding, the study offers nuanced insights into these challenges. This article contributes to the ongoing discourse on entrepreneurship in the Industry 4.0 landscape by providing a deeper understanding of the multifaceted obstacles encountered by entrepreneurs. By shedding light on these challenges, it seeks to inform policymakers, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs themselves, facilitating informed decision-making and fostering innovative solutions to address the complexities of Industry 4.0 entrepreneurship.
2024-06-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Technology Management and Technopreneurship (JTMT) https://jtmt.utem.edu.my/jtmt/article/view/6084 Practicing teaching librarian in public higher education 2024-07-08T14:09:32+00:00 Mohd Razif Dzulkipli mohdrazif@utem.edu.my Roziya Abu roziya307@uitm.edu.my Norshila Shaifuddin norshila74@uitm.edu.my
This article aims to promote one of academic librarian’s role in higher education and to dig out what is being left out in the librarianship profession, the unacknowledged hero teaching librarian. However, e-commerce companies appeared resilient, with their transaction values continuing to rise year by year. Interestingly, these e-commerce companies also became some of the highest spenders on advertising in 2023. This phenomenon prompted researchers to investigate the determinants of e-commerce advertising effectiveness. The study focuses on four independent variables, namely music jingle advertisements, brand ambassadors, electronic word-of-mouth (E-WOM), and creative advertisements, and their impact on the dependent variable, purchasing decisions. Employing a quantitative research approach, the study utilizes non-probability sampling, specifically snowball sampling, with a total of 201 respondents. The Likert scale method is used for data collection, and SPSS is employed for data analysis. The findings reveal that music jingle advertisements have no significant influence on purchasing decisions. In contrast, brand ambassadors, E-WOM, and creative advertisements significantly affect purchasing decisions.
2024-06-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Technology Management and Technopreneurship (JTMT)
