IMPACT OF TELECENTRE USE ON ECONOMIC INFORMATION LITERACY AMONG VILLAGERS IN INDONESIA
Abstract
This study aimed to examine the impact of telecentre use on this specific
domain of economic information literacy among villagers in Indonesia. It
was conducted in Central Sulawesi and involved 267 survey respondents
of varying backgrounds. Telecentre usage pattern was operationalized
using three variables: technology used, content accessed and telecentre use
intensity. The study revealed that each of these variables was related to
economic information literacy among the villagers.
